Here are some ideas that can help you clean up your closet without taking such a big dent out of your wallet. These are particularly helpful for that college student stuck in a small, cramped dorm room for a year that can't afford or fit a closet clothes organizer yet
For under the bed shoe storage that allows you to find a complete pair of shoes every time, why not use the box that the shoes came in? That's right...take some shoe boxes and cut off one end of each of them. Then put the lids on and duck tape as many together as will fit under your bed. Whoolla! A cheap, but effective shoe organizer.
Don't want to buy those multi-hanger hooks for you closet or want to try them out for cheap first? Buy a set of inexpensive shower curtain rings. Link about 5 or 6 together. Hook the top one to your closet rod. Hang a hanger on each ring.
This idea is more of a hygiene improver, but does still make your clothes more pleasant to deal with. Use those free soaps from hotels and put them in the back of your drawers to keep your clothes smelling fresh between wearings.
Hope these ideas helped you out some and maybe even triggered some more ideas. These are all temporary solutions as the cost is so low. If you would ever like to upgrade, check out more info how to select a closet clothes organizer.
I started getting ideas like this after reading about cleaning up closets at www.DeclutterClosetsFast.info.

Closet Storage Systems Are the New Therapy for Troubled Closets
Ok, Ok. The 'therapy' analogy is a little more philosophical that I usually roll, but it does fit the bill. Finding the right one out of the large market of closet storage systems almost seems impossible. But it doesn't have to be.
Evaluate your level of DIY abilities. Can you visualize how a shelving unit versus a hanging rod would look in your closet? Can you use a hammer, power drill, tape measure and level pretty well? Is removing any existing unwanted items from the closet a welcoming task? Answering yes to at least two of three of these questions would tell me that you could take on organizing your closet yourself.
The other option here is to use the often included consultant that is offered when buying closet storage systems. These people are trained in how to fit your clothing and accessories using the most optimized organizational items to create the perfect layout of your closet.
Closet storage systems can be very intimidating depending on the space too. I created my own for my sons' rooms with no problems. But now I look at my closet and feel completely overwhelmed. I have an odd shaped closet, so I can't visualize the space right. Given that, I am considering hiring someone to lay it out for me. Which ever method you use, you still need a knowledge base of how to organize. I got my base from www.DeclutterClosetsFast.info. It's a great resource for organizing ideas, plans and getting behind why you made a mess in the first place.

Closet Purse Organizer & Closet Storgage Bags: A Clean Closet's Best Friends
A closet purse organizer and closet storage bags are just two of millions of product that help organize closets. I want to talk about them because they are going to play significant roles in making my closet enjoyable to look at everyday.
I am on the verge of finally getting my closet in shape, organized shape that is. I sorted all my clothes a few months ago and got rid of any piece that either didn't fit, didn't make me feel good wearing it or had any sort of damage to it. It got a little stressed a the large discard pile, but then I turned around an saw how uncluttered my closet looked.
My next thought was how can I utilize this space better? The first thing that grabbed my attention was the heap of bags and purses I had in the corner of my closet. The heap wasn't that big (due to the sorting exercise earlier), but it was a messy pile still. I got on the internet and found all kinds of closet purse organizers. I plan to make my choice of which type soon.
The second chaotic area I saw was extra blankets and afghans that we only use in the winter. With it being spring, I wasn't going to need them for a few months. They take up so much space though. Then I remembered commercials for closet storage bags. These bags are supposed to squish down bulky items to gain more space. Perfect! Got the next item I plan to buy for my closet re-org.
I plan to keep doing this type of evaluation and product selection for my entire closet until I end up with a place for everything and then some more space to fill in with new items (shopping!).
By the way, my motivation for this project started with reading about how to get my closet organized at www.DeclutterClosetsFast.info. Not only was there organization methods explained, but also how to get and stay motivated to fully complete the job.

Not Using Proper English Helped Me Declutter Closets Fast
I realize that 'declutter' is not really a word. Most people say 'unclutter' or 'get rid of clutter', but 'declutter has great potential to be added to Webster someday. Now when you add 'declutter' next to a name of a space in your home, then it really gets its power. Let's take the phrase 'declutter closets'. Because of 'declutter' not really being a word, it still draws someone's attention to the concept of cleaning out your closet. Is it important enough to you to declutter closets, that you can over look improper English?
If you answered YES, then you need a plan to get you to your goal of clean, organized closets. Your plan should include an evaluation of the closet you want to organize and what items you want to put in that closet.
Figuring out what you want to put in the space can be a simple process. Take everything out of the closet and lay it out in a large area so you can see all the items. Sort all the items into piles for keeping, donating and trashing. Then take another look at the keep pile. Decide if all these items should go back in the same closet or somewhere else.
Next step is to measure the closet itself. Height, width and depth are a good start. Next determine if you need shelving, cubbies, hanging rods, drawers or any other type of holder of stuff. Get the dimensions of all the organizing items you will need.
Lastly, you will need to figure out how to layout your closet with all the organizing items in it. This is best done by drawing scaled pictures or actually making little scaled cutouts and arranging them in a drawing of the closet.
A plan like this will absolutely get you declutter closets. For more help in this area, check out www.DeclutterClosetsFast.info.

Did You Know the Different Materials Used For Closet Clothes Organizers?
Whether you choose to use wood or coated metal wire as the material for your closet clothes organizer, all your clothes will be accessible and visible all the time.
Wood organizers are the top of line in quality and price. There are endless options to pick from, such as hanging rods, shelves, drawers, shoe racks and I'm sure more that I don't know the official name for. You could even really go all out and get it made out of cedar or just use MDF (medium-density fiberboard) for a less costly setup. Some other wood types also available are walnut, maple, and cherry.
Coated metal wire organizers are made up of rubber coated metal wire joined together to make all the same options mentioned above for wood, but there are limitations to how the wires can be joined. This could eliminate some of the more specialized options only available in wood (cubbies come to mind), but that doesn't mean you couldn't use both wood and wire together.
Choosing the material that your closet clothes organizer will be made of does come in second priority to what and how you want to organize your space. It is great to have a few options, but don't let the material selection get in the way of the true goal, a decluttered closet.
